Gallatin needs an intervention. Under the current Mayor's direction, we have experienced out of control and out of character growth that is destroying the charm and quality of life in our town. The people of Gallatin deserve a Mayor that will be citizen-focused, not developer-focused. Mary is committed to strengthening local neighborhoods, supporting small businesses, improving infrastructure, and ensuring that every person feels seen, heard, and valued.
Mary has lived in Gallatin for over 35 years, making her home here since 1991. Married to John for 35 years, they have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. Mary has spent this time serving as a nurse practitioner in our town, volunteering for many non-profits, and also currently serves as our County Commissioner for District 9. For decades she has made a positive difference in the lives of her family, patients, friends, neighbors, and constituents. Mary would love to earn your vote so that she can continue to serve our community as Mayor of Gallatin.

Mary has a Doctorate of Nursing Practice with certification as a Family Nurse practitioner from the University of Tennessee, undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree from Tennessee State University, and a Masters in Health Care Education.

Mary has served as a nurse for 50 years, including serving our military within the Army Nurse Corp as a Captain, and serving in health care education as a director, manager, and a University professor.

Mary is a graduate of Leadership Sumner, and the current County Commissioner for District 9, including serving on the following committees: General Operations, Resource Authority, Health and Emergency Services, Highway, ad hoc for Animal Control, Insurance board, Tourism, and Chairman of Opioid Abatement committee voted best in state program.

Mary is an American Red Cross Support for Disaster Relief volunteer, Young Marines of Sumner County volunteer, Pet Safe Shelter volunteer fostering, served on multiple medical missions to Haiti, promoted meals for homeless with open dinner for Thanksgiving for residents in Gallatin, and set up food tables during the winter for the homeless.

Mary's favorite past times include
Animal rescue with fostering and adoption, Camping, Boating, Gardening, and Walking, UT football and basketball games.

Mary is a conservative, lifelong, Republican. The Mayor's race is non-partisan, so there will be no political party on the ballot.
As a Christian, Mary
seeks God’s guidance in her life and decisions.

We need your help to fund our campaign. This is not Mary's campaign, this is the People of Gallatin's campaign.
